How can a business coach help?
Coaching is focused on what you want to achieve. As this is different for every business owner, there isn’t a set order for what we’ll cover (this is often the case with other coaching or accelerator programmes).
I’ll use the GROWth Formula to help you determine what you must master to build a successful business. Together, we’ll identify and focus on the areas that will have the most significant positive impact on your business and start there.
Leveraging GROWs structured approach to setting goals and developing a plan of action supported by practical tools to achieve your goals, is what allows me to help you achieve tangible results.
In a nutshell, we’ll cover:
- Setting Direction. Together, we’ll create a clear business strategy to ultimately give your company a sustainable competitive advantage.
- You the Leader. I’ll help you become the best leader you can be, as your business success is directly linked to your leadership capabilities.
- Winning Team. I’ll help you set a good team and team-development plan in place. You can’t scale a company by yourself and need to be surrounded by the right people who’ll grow and remain by your side.
- Operational Excellence. To succeed, you must achieve operational excellence in every area – from sales and marketing to financial management, business processes, and strategic planning and execution. We’ll look at whether you’re prioritising and executing on the right things.

What the business coaching process looks like
Step 1: Set personal and business goals
The coaching approach starts with defining your personal goals and objectives. From here, we’ll determine your business goals.
Your business is there to serve you, not the other way around, so we start with your personal objectives. There needs to be alignment between both sets of goals.
Once this critical step is complete, we’ll know what you’re trying to achieve. The aim is to help you keep your eye on the prize!
Step 2: Identify business gaps
Next, we’ll explore where your business is today – and where the gaps are. We’ll categorise these gaps into the GROWth Formula buckets, which include:
- Strategy
- Operations
- Execution
- Leadership
- Your team
Step 3: Create a robust strategy
Once we know what you ultimately want to achieve – and where the business is right now – we’ll collaboratively create a business strategy to bridge the gap.
But this isn’t where we’ll stop. Strategy is useless without execution, and execution is aimless without strategy.
Step 4: Develop an action plan
The last step is to help you and your team prioritise your objectives and create an action plan to achieve them.
This step involves a full-day workshop that includes you and your leadership team and occurs every three months. It also kicks off the strategic execution cycle and one-on-one coaching sessions.
